With just a few days to go until National Poetry Writing Month, it occurred to me to permit all the skeletons, critics, werewolves, and goblins of the literature chatrooms to have their own day of glory. Therefore on March 31, and March 31 only, in the #getLIT chatroom, destructive critiques will be encouraged.

Yes, it shall be your right for the day to tear down pieces submitted to the room with your razor-sharp literary claws. Writers entering the room will be on guard for this, and encouraged to submit pieces with the knowledge they will be utterly shredded.

Small prizes may be awarded for the most appropriate and poisonous witticisms logged, so long as they relate to a piece submitted and not just against the person in general, and there will also be scattered rewards for those brave enough to submit work and endure the harsh criticism that follows without taking it all too seriously.

I would also like to congratulate =derivablezero for winning a year's worth of subscription with her contributions to the poetry and prose forum in February, and also to `Beccalicious, and `apocathary who won three month subscriptions each. Thanks to these wonderful people I can have hope for the literature forums and community in the future.
